The library

Published by unilady at 7:53 pm under Hobbies, family life, gifted kids resources Edit This

I was recently at the library with my son who is in grade 6. He had a project he had to do, and the special instructions from the teacher were that he had to do his research in the library. I think the teacher was concerned that a lot of students were getting information from Wikipedia and it’s not always reliable information.
The wonderful librarian showed me that you could do an online search, from home, of all the resources in the library. Well I have known for a long time that you can search for books using the library’s online catalog on the internet, but what I didn’t know is that you can search all the magazines, all the encyclopedia, all of the reference materials under their “One Stop Search.”
This is the best thing I’ve learned at the library!
